SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - South Dakota State and Washington started the 2021 Mammoth Sports Construction Crossover Classic with opening night wins.
South Dakota State (5-1) broke the NCAA DI scoring record for a regulation game, defeating Nevada (1-4) 102-75 to open the multi-team event.
Douglas Wilson scored a game-high 24 points and Noah Friedel added 21 points. The Jackrabbits improve to 7-8 all-time at the Sanford Pentagon.
For Nevada, Warren Washington scored a team-high 20 points.
In the second game of the evening, Washington defeated George Mason 77-74. The Huskies (3-2) were led by Terrell Brown Jr. with 23 points and eight rebounds.
For the Patriots (4-2), Josh Oduro and DeVon Cooper led the way with 21 points.
Tuesday night, Nevada and George Mason tip off at 6 p.m., followed by South Dakota State and Washington at 8:30 p.m.
