Basketball Tournaments

All Sanford Pentagon Youth Tournaments (Nov-March) Feature:

  • No Friday night games.  Teams will play games on Saturday and Sunday at each tournament.
  • All games played at the Sanford Pentagon
  • Full Sized quality wood floors
  • Certified or registered officials on all courts
  • Stopped time games (until mercy rule is in effect) No running clock.
  • Deadline: two weeks prior to event or when event fills

REFUND POLICY
No refunds will be issued after tournament deadline date or after event is scheduled.  One half of the entry fee will be refunded  if our Tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather.

  • Retain 100% of entry fee if team is a no show.
  • $25.00 of entry fee will be retained if a team request a refund after registering for a tournament and prior to the deadline date.

3 Point Play
Teams who register for 3 or more Youth Tournaments (November - March) will receive a $25.00 reduction in team entry fee per event.  To take advantage of this offer, teams must register for all three events at the same time and select pay offline option.

Total for 3 Tournaments is:  $408.75 (tax included)

If choosing to pay offline teams must mail a check payable to the Sanford Pentagon prior to the entry deadline.

SPRING JAM - NCAA CERTIFIED EVENT

Spring Jam

NCAA Team & Coaches Requirments
All of the steps below must be completed by 15U-17U boys’ teams in order to participate. Teams without approved coaches and rosters on the NCAA BBCS will not be allowed to participate in the NCAA-certified portion of this event.
 

Step 1 – Coaches obtain USA BBall Gold Licenses: Coaches of 15U-17U boys’ and girls’ teams must renew their existing USA Basketball Gold Coach License or if they have not done this before they must obtain a USA Basketball Gold Coach License. This requirement applies to coaches, assistant coaches, and any bench personnel (non-players). Allow 3 weeks for processing. You will not be able to enter your rosters on the new BBCS website (step 2) until you complete this process. Click here for detailed application instructions from USA Basketball (use the link at the bottom of the USA Basketball instruction page to start your application). START EARLY!
 

Step 2 – Register on the new BBCS: ALL COACHES AND ATHLETES must create individual accounts on the all-new NCAA BBCS website https://BBCS.ncaa.org.  Only coaches who have completed the above Step 1 will be allowed to create accounts on the BBCS. Instructions for COACHES. Step 3 – Build Your Team Roster: The head coach must then invite their assistant coaches and players to be on their roster through the BBCS website. Click here for detailed instructions on how to build your roster.
 

REMINDER: Teams who have not completed all of the above steps WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the NCAA certified portion of the tournament.Coach Certification: ALL COACHES must have a valid NCAA Approval number in order to coach at this event. 

 


Dakota Challenge

Dates: June 26th - 28th, 2020
Gender: Boys & Girls
Cost:  12u-14u $218.00 per team
15u-17u $327.00 per team

Teams and athletes must be registered in the Grade Division they were enrolled during the 2018-19 school year.  Athletes must have been in the grade this year to play in a designated division.  Athletes may move up a division but may not play in a lower grade division if they were not enrolled in that grade during the 2018-19 school year.
