ADA & Accessible Seating
In order to service disabled patrons, the Sanford Pentagon designates seating for patrons with visual, hearing and mobility impairments. In order to best serve your needs, we ask that you identify any needs you may have. The Sanford Pentagon Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm to answer any questions you may have. You may also call our Box Office at 605.312.7900.
If a special ADA Accommodation is needed, please contact the Sanford Pentagon at least 72 hours prior to the start of the event.
Accessible seating will be clearly identified on a seating chart. All accessible seating locations will provide a clear line of sight viewing for shows and events. All accessible seating positions will be exclusively reserved for patrons who are disabled until an event or show sells out. Accessible seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
Each level of the Sanford Pentagon is equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED), which can save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. There is one located outside of the Main Offices on the main concourse, one located by Court 6 one located by the Trainer’s Office adjacent to Court 8, and two located on the upper concourse near Suite 1 and Suite 9. Each AED location is clearly marked by wall signage. In the event of an emergency, please notify the nearest staff member.
The Sanford Pentagon has a strict alcohol policy that is designed to protect the guests and public from alcohol-related incidents. Guests are expected to follow all laws governing the purchase, possession and consumption of alcohol. It is the responsibility of the patron to ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation when leaving the facility. The Sanford Pentagon further abides by the NBA Alcohol Policy:
Currently, there is one (1) ATM machine located in the Sanford Pentagon. The ATM located on the Main Concourse level near the Pentagon Team Store.
NBA Arenas are required to prohibit items such as bags, backpacks and briefcases larger than 14" x 14" x 6’’ from being brought into the Arena. Hard-sided bags of any kind are also prohibited. Patrons who are in possession of items larger than this bag size will be asked to return them to their vehicles or discard them. This is in addition to the existing policy that all bags, purses or personal items of any size are subject to search. This policy is subject to change based on a shows request.
Cancelled or Postponed Events
In the event a performance is cancelled or rescheduled, information will be immediately sent to local media for distribution and placed on the Sanford Pentagon website and event phone line. We will also send an email to the database of purchasers for that event, if we have contact information.
If an event is cancelled, refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. If the event is rescheduled, tickets purchased for the original date will be honored at the new date. In most cases, refunds will also be available at the original point of purchase up until the new date has passed.
Cellular phones are permitted provided their use does not prevent other guests from enjoying the event. The use of camera and video features may be restricted if requested by the event.
Children twenty-four months and older must have a ticket in order to gain entrance to events at the Sanford Pentagon. Children under twenty-four months of age may enter without a ticket but must sit on their parent or guardian’s lap. The Sanford Pentagon does not allow lap children on courtside seating for safety reasons. PLEASE NOTE: some events will require all attendees regardless of age to present a ticket for entry into the Sanford Pentagon. Please check the event’s ticket policies at the time of purchase.
There are three (3) permanent concession stands located throughout the main concourses of the Sanford Pentagon. Each stand has unique offerings. Additional “portable” stands are open for select events.
There is one (1) elevator located in the Sanford Pentagon. It can be accessed from the main concourse near Court 8 and is marked with wall signage. If you have trouble locating elevator or operating the elevator, any Sanford Pentagon staff can assist.
In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and walk to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion. Follow posted signs and listen to announcements for specific instructions. In some circumstances you will be directed to remain in the building and staff will direct you where to go. Please do not use elevator. If you are disabled, trained staff members will assist you in getting to safety.
The First Aid Station at the Sanford Pentagon is located on the main concourse near Court 9. In the event of an emergency, please go to the first available staff member for assistance.

Staff at the Sanford Pentagon is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable entertainment experience. Patrons have a right to expect an environment where:
Sanford Pentagon staff have been trained to intervene when necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met, and guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest usher, security guard, or guest services staff member. Guests who choose not to adhere to this Code of Conduct will be subject to ejection, without refund, and revocation of their season tickets. They may also be in violation of local ordinances resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.
The Sanford Pentagon does not have a dedicated guest services station. Guests are encouraged to visit the Box Office or Team Store to obtain information, offer suggestions, voice concerns and request assistance during events. Any Pentagon staff member should also be able to assist.
For Arena Events: The Sanford Sports Complex Internal Operations team will consider a variety of factors when making a determination on when to close due to a weather event. Generally, the Sanford Pentagon will follow the City of Sioux Falls (City Hall) weather policy. However, in the interest of safety to our guests, the Internal Operations team may choose to close the facility and/or cancel an event if conditions warrant.
For Academy Activities: Generally, the Sanford Pentagon Youth Academies will follow the Sioux Falls School District weather policy. However should changes in weather make travel safe to the Sanford Pentagon, the Sanford Sports Complex Internal Operations team may choose to schedule and/or continue activities after careful consideration of current weather conditions.
Cancellation of events and/or activities will be posted on the Sanford Pentagon website, social media platforms and via phone at 605.312.7900. Cancellation information will also be submitted to local television stations and media outlets.
Lost children should be escorted to the nearest security officer or staff member. The lost child will be assisted at the Pentagon Team Store located on the main concourse by the main entry. In the event that you become separated from your child or a member of your party, you will also want to contact the nearest officer or staff member.
Lost & Found
During an event, you may inquire about lost or found items at the Pentagon Team Store located on the main concourse by the main entry. For inquiries following an event, please call 605.312.7900 during normal business hours.

For most events, doors open 60 minutes prior to the start time of the event. However, this can vary by event. For specific information, please check our website or call the box office at 605.312.7900.
For the safety of our guests and athletes, no outside balls are allowed in the Sanford Pentagon. This policy applies for all youth events and spectator events. Guests attempting to bring balls into the facility will be asked to return them to their car.
Outside Food & Beverage
Outside food and beverage are prohibited. Refillable water containers with a lid are permitted to be brought in through a ticketed entry.
For your convenience, there are several available parking lots and over 1,000 parking stalls within walking distance of the Sanford Pentagon. There is no charge for parking. Accessible parking is available in all of the parking lots surrounding the Sanford Pentagon and are clearly marked. To park in the spaces reserved for disabled guests, the vehicle must have a state issued handicapped window pass, sticker or license plate. The VIP Guest lot is located immediately east of the facility and requires a proper parking pass.
We ask all guests to arrive early and travel light, as you may be subject to search, which includes metal-detecting hand wands upon entry. For safety reasons, prohibited items include but are not limited to:
If an item is revealed during a search, guests may dispose of the item or they may return the item to their vehicle. Sanford Pentagon does not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.
The Sanford Pentagon is privately owned facility and does not allow protesting, collection of signatures for petition drives, or unapproved marketing of any type. The distribution of promotional items, handbills, fliers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures, is not permitted at the Sanford Pentagon.

There are restrooms located throughout the Sanford Pentagon on all levels, including two (2) family bathrooms on the main concourse.
New security measures, including walk-through metal detectors and full 360-view digital cameras have been installed at the Sanford Pentagon. Cell Phones, keys, and RFID wallets will need to be removed and placed in a bowl before walking through the metal detectors. These new procedures are not a response to any specific threat, but rather recommendations made by the NBA Arena Security Guidelines with consultation from local law enforcement officials. Fans are encouraged to allow for extra time to enter the Sanford Pentagon and to leave non-essential items at home.
Trained guide dogs or service animals are permitted in the Sanford Pentagon. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as any dog, such as a guide dog or signal dog that is individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered at all times and will be required to rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. All other animals are prohibited.
The Sanford Pentagon is a non-smoking facility. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted in any area of the Sanford Pentagon. A designated outdoor smoking area is located on the west side of building. Any guest found smoking in a non-designated area will be subject to ejection.
South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame
The Sanford Pentagon is home to the SD High School Basketball Hall of Fame which features timeless memorabilia highlighting the state’s hardwood history. Displays cases are featured in the lobby area with additional displays located on the upper concourse. SD High School Basketball HOF entry is free of charge.

The Sanford Pentagon Ticket Office is located in the main lobby of the facility. The Ticket Office is open during regular business hours Monday through Friday and can be reached at 605.312.7900. Parking is available in the East VIP lot located immediately adjacent to the building for guests purchasing tickets.
There are no refunds or exchanges for tickets. Customers can upgrade tickets for events when possible; however this is not a guaranteed policy and is done at the sole discretion of the event promoter.
Ticket Scalping is prohibited on Sanford Pentagon premises. It is strongly recommended that you do not purchase your tickets from a non-TicketMaster or non-Pentagon third party. The Sanford Pentagon is not responsible for invalid or counterfeit tickets purchased from a third party.
Will Call Window
The Will Call Window is located in the main box office inside of the main lobby. In order to pick up your will call tickets please bring with a government issued ID matching the name on the account, the credit card used for the purchase, and the confirmation number will be required to pick up tickets. Tickets will be released only to the person whose name appears on the ticket envelope.
