SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Top high school basketball players from the Midwest region will take the court to display the talent of the area Aug. 1-2.
Thirty players from four states will go through full-scale drills and workouts, including shooting, ball handling, footwork drills and more. Players will also work through position specific drills.
“It’s great to get players from across the region together in one facility for a couple of days,” said Patrick Coughlin, coordinator of the Sanford POWER Basketball Academy at the Pentagon. “It’s a great opportunity for these athletes to work and compete against some of the best talent in the region and creates a unique experience.
Longtime former NBA player Kirk Hinrich will also take part in coaching and developing players at this invite-only camp.
Also, staff from the Sanford Sports Science Institute will work with players on athletic testing, nutrition and hydration, sweat loss information and other performance metrics. They’ll also work with the Sanford POWER team on dynamic warmups and strength and conditioning practices.
