SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Skyforce will play 24 home games at the Sanford Pentagon in 2015-16, according to the team’s schedule released Thursday.
The 50-game schedule consists of 24 home games at Sanford Pentagon, 24 road contests and two games at the NBA D-League Showcase in Santa Cruz, California.
The Skyforce tip off their 27th season in franchise history and 10th in the NBA Development League on Nov. 14 in Sioux Falls against the Iowa Energy. Sioux Falls begins the season with three of its first four games on the road.
Sioux Falls will play 17 of its 24 home games on weekends (Friday or Saturday) and will host the Oklahoma City Blue in the annual Christmas Day game. The 2015-16 season will see 11 of the league’s teams make the trip to Sioux Falls, including NBA D-League newcomer Raptors 905 (affiliate of the Toronto Raptors). Six of the remaining seven home games will be played on Tuesday evenings with a 6:30 p.m. tip-off time. The Wednesday, Feb. 3, meeting against the Canton Charge will also tip off at 6:30 p.m.
The 2015-16 NBA D-League season will feature a two conference system (Eastern Conference, Western Conference) and a new division realignment. The Eastern Conference will be made up of the Atlantic Division (Delaware 87ers, Erie BayHawks, Maine Red Claws, Raptors 905, Westchester Knicks) and the Central Division (Canton Charge, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Grand Rapids Drive, Iowa Energy, Sioux Falls Skyforce). The Western Conference will consist of the Southwest Division (Austin Spurs, Oklahoma City Blue, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Texas Legends) and the Pacific Division (Bakersfield Jam, Idaho Stampede, Los Angeles D-Fenders, Reno Bighorns, Santa Cruz Warriors).
