SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – It'll be a "Super" Sunday for the Augustana men's basketball team as it hosts Southwest Minnesota State inside the Sanford Pentagon. Tipoff is slated for noon in what is just a single-game weekend for the Vikings.
Tickets are on-sale and are available online at, by phone and in person at the Sanford Pentagon box office. The Pentagon box office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to tipoff on Sunday.
About the Vikings
Augustana will be looking for a win on Sunday to keep pace in the NSIC South Division with four squads qualifying for the NSIC Tournament. Currently, Augustana is in fifth place after a pair of close losses in a pair of high-scoring affairs at Upper Iowa last weekend.
Getting the ball through the net has not been an issue as the Vikings rank second in the league and 14th in the nation at 84.9 points per game. Six Vikings enter Sunday's game averaging double figures led by Isaac Fink at 13.4 points per outing. Tyler Riemersma continues to do Tyler Riemersma things with an average of 12.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Other Vikings reaching double-digit scoring are Matt Todd at 12.4 points, Adam Dykman at 12.2 points, Dylan LeBrun at 12.0 points and Michael Schaefer at 11.9 points per game.
About the Mustangs
Southwest Minnesota State is coming off a weekend in which it did not play due to COVID-19 protocols. In fact, due to various protocols between SMSU and its opponents, the Mustangs have played just two NSIC games as part of the six total.
Currently, SMSU has lost three-straight contests dating back to a Jan. 9 loss to Minot State, then fell by an average of 24 points to Minnesota State two weekends ago. Of the six contests played, four have been against Minot State, splitting evenly at .500.
Nick Dufault leads the way for the Mustangs at 16.2 points per game. Kaden Evans is the other Mustang averaging double digits at 11.7 points per outing. However, he paves the way as one of the top defensemen in the NSIC with 18 total steals this season. The average of 3.0 steals per outing is easily tops in the league. Cliff McCray is the top rebounder at 6.0 per game.
How to Watch
Tickets are on-sale in a limited quantity at, at the Sanford Pentagon box office (weekdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m.) or by phone at 605-312-7900.
The newly launched NSIC Network will carry every basketball game this season for free. In addition to watching online, fans can view the games through apps on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Roku. Search for "NSIC Network" to find the app on your relevant device.
One Last Thing
After a slow start to the season, Dylan LeBrun has come on hot as of late. The slow start was not of his own doing due to an injury suffered at MSU Moorhead, but LeBrun has now averaged 18.5 points over the last four games. That marks a team best.
