Concordia-St. Paul enters the weekend holding a 1-3 record under the direction of first-year head coach Matt Fletcher. The Golden Bears won the opening game of the season convincingly, 80-56, over Minnesota Crookston but have falling 84-80 in OT to UMC, and were swept by Wayne State 88-76 and 82-60 last weekend.

CSP pushes three in double-figure scoring led by Jax Madson at 11.8 points per game. He is joined by Carlos Barela and Jacob Shields at 10.8 and 10.5 points per game, respectively. Marcus Skeete and Barela lead the team with 5.5 rebounds per outing. On average, the Golden Bears tally 74 points per game while giving up 77.5.

The Golden Bears were tabbed sixth in the NSIC South Division Preseason Coaches' Poll with 15 points. Coincidentally, that is where CSP finished in last year's standings.
