Who's Next High School Combine

Our WHO'S NEXT COMBINES are designed to showcase the wonderful talent in our region as well as provide an opportunity to compete against the best. Led by our Sanford POWER Basketball Academy staff, we will put the attendees through skill development stations, POWER measurements, and 5-on-5 live play. All in front of various college coaches from the region.

- These two camp sessions will focus on skill work such as dribbling, passing, finishing, shooting, decision-making, and scoring moves, as well as basketball concepts. We will also incorporate drills, contests and competition play to utilize these skills! This is the perfect camp for young kids to get an introduction to detailed skill work and have fun doing so!
- K-4th Graders
- This camp will prioritize skill and conceptual development with numerous detailed skill and concept breakdowns. We will focus on dribbling, passing, finishing, shooting, decision-making, scoring moves, and learning how to implement these areas throughout game situations.. We will also incorporate drills, contests, and competition play to utilize these skills. Come test your ability against other middle school aged kids!
- 5th-8th Graders
- This camp will mix in detailed skill work with loads of competition. We will focus on competitive drills and many live play sessions including 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5. Great opportunity for those that love to COMPETE and need more live play reps!

Guard/Post Offensive Skills Camp
- This camp is perfect for the player that is trying to sharpen their offensive skills relative to the position that they normally play. We will have numerous guard and post skill breakouts where we will teach advanced skills pertaining to their position. We will also incorporate situational breakdowns that involve guards and posts, such as ball-screen concepts, off ball screen concepts, read & react drive concepts, and post action concepts. The last focus of this camp will be live play situations where the campers will be able to utilize the skills we have broken down.
- 6th-12th Graders
- This camp will be led by former D2 player of the year, national champion, and overseas pro Daniel Jansen. This is a three session camp that will cover everything you need to know in the post. You do not have to be a big post player to learn these skills and concepts. This camp is for all positions and player types. Come learn from one of the best - post moves and counters, post concepts, decision-making, and live play.

- 9th-12th Grade Session
- Our shooting clinics will go in depth on arguably the most important skill in the game of basketball: SHOOTING! We will critique your shot form/technique, introduce you to successful shooting methods, show you a variety of different shooting drills/contests and get a ton of shots up. Come soak up knowledge from our experienced Sanford POWER Basketball Academy staff on the in's and out's of shooting the ball off the catch, bounce, or movement.
- 4th-12th Graders
- This is an outstanding opportunity for high school and middle school athletes looking to improve their overall basketball performance. The program will focus on nurturing your basketball skills and cultivating strength and power development. This is the perfect way to advance your basketball abilities.

- POWER training led by Matt Houston, Head of Strength and Performance of the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
- Our summer advanced group training is designed for athletes of all ages who are looking to continue to develop or refine their skill set during the separation months of June and July. These sessions will mainly focus on skill work such as ball-handling, finishing, shooting off the catch/move, footwork and 1-on-1 scoring moves. Competitive drills and small sided games will be incorporated so athletes can get a better feel on how to utilize the skills they are gaining. The skills and situations will vary depending on the age group we are working with.

Spring Programs
- The Pentagon Progression League was created to help give players an opportunity to truly develop their game the right way. What we offer:
- Available to Girls and Boys in grades 5th - 8th
- 1 hour skill development practice (Friday evenings)
- 2 games per week (Sunday evenings)
- Can join as an individual or an already formed outside team
- Our K-2nd JR. Hoopers Academy is all about having fun! The most important part of youth player development is that the player loves the game. We help instill that love for the game along with learning the fundamentals with fun games and drills.

Our 3rd-4th Fastbreak Academy will help with the next step in a players development. Learning how to play the game! With a combination of skill work, concept learning, and competitive play this academy will introduce players to multiple basketball concepts - pick and roll, off ball movement and screens, backdoor cuts, post ups, motion movement and more!
- 3 on 3 is one of the best ways to help give players more situational playing experience. With less offensive and defensive players on the floor, players are able to make more plays and get the ball in their hands more. This is one of the best ways for players to truly improve.

About Us
The POWER Basketball Academy trains and helps players at all levels. We strive to provide the most detailed and comprehensive training available. From beginner to pro, we have training opportunities for all.

The POWER Basketball Academy is located at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD. The Sanford Pentagon is a 160,000 square-foot facility that houses nine full courts.
The Pentagon is also home to the Sanford POWER Volleyball Academy, the NBA G League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce, Augustana University Men's and Women's Basketball, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s and Men’s Basketball tournaments and the South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame.
